Geothermal is a renewable energy that has proved its worth.
This plant "The Geysers", located in northern California powers nearly a million homes. For in these hills north of San Francisco, rocks deep underground are so hot they turn the aquifer that lies above into pressurized pockets of steam. The system then recharges the underground rocks with more water, fueling a continuous production of electricity. Is this the renewable energy for America on a greater scale? The small ecological footprints compared to vast solar arrays and wind farms is certainly one of the many reasons environmentalists love it. Post your thoughts below!
